"I don't want to do this, Dad." Claire said, shaking her head a little as she stood in line at the airport. She knew it was for her own protection especially with them not knowing what had happened to Sylar and all after New York. Nathan and Peter were gone, presumed dead. She didn't know if she'd ever see them again. She'd been through so much and she was only sixteen years old.
"You have to go honey." Noah Bennet told his adopted daughter as Sandra fought back tears, clutching her precious pooch, Lyle just looked at the ground. It was hard to let her go at all. This was a rough time for the Bennet family. "You'll be a lot safer there." Sylar could find her back home in Texas, but hopefully she would be safe in Los Angeles.
"714 to Los Angeles, now boarding last call." The person over the intercom said. Claire hugged her parents and her brother, and grabbed her stuff, getting on the plane.
She couldn't believe that she had to leave her family, even for a little while. She knew it was safer, but it was still hard for her. She didn't talk to anyone for the whole plane ride. When it touched down in Los Angeles, she called her dad and talked to him to let him know she'd gotten there okay, and then went into the city.
She wasn't even sure what she would do here. Hell, she was just a teenager, she couldn't stay in a hotel forever, even if Noah had given her quite a bit of money. Once she was all checked in, Claire decided to go out and explore the city a little.
She could have a fresh start here, no one knew her. No one knew about her...ability, and no one could use it to hurt her. She thought about Nathan, her biological father, and Peter...her uncle. She wanted to believe that they were alive...but so far there was nothing. No word. And they'd gone up because Peter was going to explode. Claire had survived a nuclear explosion though...maybe Peter could. But what about Nathan? Noah Bennet would always be the man that she considered her father, but she worried about Nathan too. She hoped somehow they survived...but it was unlikely, she knew.
She looked around, this place seemed to be...darker than she was used to.
