"I know who you are." Veronica said, knowing that that very statement would be extremely unnerving to him.
Veronica couldn't help but smirk a little. He really had no idea what she knew, and she knew a lot. That could be expected of Veronica though, she was a pain in the ass, but she usually managed to solve something.
"Oh I just wanted to tell you that I know you killed Madison Sinclair, I know she was a bitch, but did she really deserve to die like that?" She scrunched up her face. "I don't think so." Her grin widened, she was amused by this, just a little. "She had your business card, that was really sloppy of you." Veronica said, setting the card on the desk. "Why don't you read the back, outloud please?" She requested. Written on the back of the card was simply 'Veronica Mars is smarter than me'
"Oh I know you're pretty pissed, and probably worried too. But you have to admit, you're a little impressed that someone has figured you out. After all you've been trying to get people's attention for a long time, right? Sick of being called other people's names, and people thinking you're a big dork. You hate your job, but you want to fit in, am I close?" Oh Veronica loved this part.
"Well guess what, Mr. Bateman, you have my attention now." No, she wasn't a cop, or even a full fledged PI, just the daughter of one. She did, however, have a knack for finding out the truth. "Your crime hasn't gone unnoticed, and as clueless as the police might be into the murder of Madison Sinclair, I'm not." She paused. "I think this scene needs a little music, don't you?" She didn't wait for him to answer, before she opened the laptop that was in front of her, which was hers and opened Itunes, selecting "Hip to be Square" by Huey Lewis and the News, and then she just smiled smugly.
"So do you want to call the police and tell them what you did, or should I?" Veronica asked, grabbing the phone.
